RIGHT BANK PARIS  The right bank has some of my favorite spots in Paris including the often missed Palais Royal. We will walk through this historical streets and learn about the history of the right bank of Paris.  We will see 19th century passages, Place Vendome, Madeleine, the Opera Garnier and much more.  There are small romantic museums, beautiful parks and lots of hidden gems all through these historical streets.We will walk down the beautiful rue St. Honore and end up at the Place de la Concorde and see this amazing vista of Paris which includes the Eiffel Tower, the Champs Elysee and much more.   A city tour in a vintage Citroen is included in this tour. 

 

LEFT BANK PARIS  This tour includes the Ile de la Cite where the city of Paris was born and we will see the beautiful Sainte Chapelle, Pont Neuf, the oldest bridge in Paris and much more. We will take a behind the scenes private tour of Notre Dame Cathedral (I am an official docent of the Cathedral).  Based on our groups wishes, we will also ascend the stairs of the towers of Notre Dame. We will walk down the main street of the quaint Ile St Louis and then across through the Latin Quarter and see some of Paris' oldest landmarks including a medieval castle, Roman ruins and a wonderful example of early gothic churches.  A lovely park crowns this part of Paris.   A Seine river cruise will be included in this tour.

MARAIS AND BASTILLE  The lovely Marais with it's medieval streets and architecture, some of the remaining fortifying walls of old Paris, Place des Vosges, Musee Carnavalet, marches and true Parisian flair are abundant in this area of the city.  The history of it's churches and neighborhoods are some of Paris' richest.  Once the neighborhood of Paris nobility, today their vast mansions are open to us to explore and enjoy.  This is a wonderful tour for Sundays as while much of Paris is closed, the Marais is alive with excitement and opportunity.

MONTMARTRE AND SACRE COEUR  Today we will go to Montmartre, overlooking Paris and we will see the city laid out before us in all of her glory.  We will tour Sacre Coeur and enjoy the beauty of this monument.  We will walk the streets where the historic artists of Paris once lived and enjoy lunch on a plaza filled with their modern day counterparts.  We can ride the fun Montmartre bus through the hilly village and see the only remaining vineyard in Paris.  Have your portrait painted or buy a true souvenier of the city from one of the amazing artists that still call this part of Paris home.

FLEA MARKETS  We will visit a true Parisien Flea Market, enjoying the morning wondering through the stalls of this very typical market filled with treasures, Parisians and fun.  The market is a bit off the beaten path and promises to be a highlight of your trip. After the flea market we will take another fun bus ride through the streets of Paris and get off at the Luxembourg Jardins where we will have lunch in a truly charming garden cafe.  

HIDDEN TREASURES OUTSIDE OF PARIS INCLUDING  The Basilica St. Denis is just a metro ride from the heart of Paris and is a wealth of history as the burial place for the royalty of France for centuries.  Join me for an unexpected trip into the history of France that most people never know exists.  The Chateau Versailles and makes a wonderful day trip and it would be my pleasure to accompany you on this day journey out of Paris.  These are just to name two of the fun things we can do on a day trip out of town.  I have many ideas for these wonderful ventures!!

• Air Fare - Each tour member will be responsible for their own airfare arrangements.  If you should need suggestions or assistance with these arrangements please do not hesitate to contact me and I will be more than happy to assist you.  Everyone will arrive the morning that the tour begins.  Flights leave the US the night before and arrive in Paris early the following morning.

• Dinners - Each tour member will be responsible for all dinners and most wine or alcohol drinks. 
• Any fees related to non ParisByParis Tour itinerary venues. 

• Major sights such as the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Louvre and other monuments can be seen at anytime during the tour or might be sights you wish to see on your own time as wait times for entrance can be somewhat long.
