Day 1

You will depart the US the night before and arrive in Paris the following morning.  A private shuttle will be waiting for you at the airport and will escort you from the arrivals gate to the van.  Enjoy your drive into Paris looking for your first glimpse of the landmarks of the city.

I will meet you at the hotel and once you are checked in and settled we will take our first walk and see my favorite spot in Paris - the Palais Royale.  We will have lunch at the Place Collette and learn about the history of the right bank of Paris.

After lunch we will walk down the beautiful rue St. Honore, see a 19th century Parisian passage and end up at the Place de la Concorde and see this amazing vista of Paris which includes the Eiffel Tower, the Champs Elysee and much more.  We will then take a fabulous tour of the city in an authentic Citroen 2CV to end our first day in Paris.

Day 2

After breakfast at your hotel we will meet in the lobby and begin our first full day in Paris.  We will take the metro to the Ile de la Cite where the city of Paris was born and see the beautiful Sainte Chapelle, Pont Neuf, the oldest bridge in Paris and much more. 

We will take a behind the scenes private tour of Notre Dame Cathedral (I am an official docent of the Cathedral).  Based on our groups wishes, we will also ascend the stairs of the towers of Notre Dame.  We will have lunch with the back of the Cathedral as our vista in a fun and typical Parisien cafe.

After lunch we will walk down the main street of the quaint Ile St Louis and then through the Latin Quarter and see some of Paris' oldest landmarks including a medieval castle, Roman ruins and a wonderful example of early gothic churches.  

We will end the day with a visit to the famous St. Germain des Pres area including one of Paris' oldest existing churches and see the famous Cafe Deux Magots and Cafe Flore.

Day 3

After breakfast we will again meet and today go to Montmartre, overlooking Paris and we will see the city laid out before us in all of her glory.  We will tour Sacre Coeur and enjoy the beauty of this monument.  We will walk the streets where the historic artists of Paris once lived and enjoy lunch on a plaza filled with their modern day counterparts.

After lunch we will take a fun bus ride down the hill and into the heart of Paris for shopping at Galeries Lafayette or Printemps and/or a tour of the glorious Opera Garnier. 

Each group will be encouraged to specify their own desires each and every day so that we see and do just what you want to.  We will walk back to our hotel down the beautiful Avenue de l'Opera and enjoy the buzz of the city all around us.

Day 4

After breakfast we will meet and head out to a true Parisien Flea Market.  We will enjoy the morning wondering through the stalls of this very typical market filled with treasures, Parisians and fun.  This market is a bit off the beaten path and promises to be a highlight of your trip.

After the flea market we will take another fun bus ride through the streets of Paris and get off at the Luxembourg Jardins where we will have lunch in a truly charming garden cafe.  

A peaceful boat ride along the Seine will bring our Flea Market Saturday to a lovely end.

Day 5

Our last day in Paris can be spent at a museum of your choice such as the Louvre or Musee d'Orsay or we can visit the lively Marais section of the city and the Place des Vosges, attend a mass at Notre Dame, have a picnic along the Seine or on the Champs de Mars at the Eiffel Tower, take a walking tour of Napoleon & Josephines' Paris ... the ideas are endless!  Each group can decide how they would like to spend their last day.  This is YOUR trip and I want to plan it according to you!

Tonight we will attend a Soiree at the home of a longtime American expat, now Parisian, where we will enjoy lively conversation, meet people from all over the world and dine on delicious cuisine and wines.  A perfect ending for our fabulous week.

Departure Day

The shuttle will be at your hotel bright and early to return you to the airport.  Each person will be dropped off at the corresponding terminal so not to worry.  I will be there as well to offer any assistance with your departure.

 If your family or group exceeds 8 persons or you will be traveling with children under the age of 12 please contact me and we will arrange a special tour for you.

 Not Included in Your Tour

• Air Fare - Each tour member will be responsible for their own airfare arrangements.  If you should need suggestions or assistance with these arrangements please do not hesitate to contact me and I will be more than happy to assist you.  Everyone will arrive the morning that the tour begins.  Flights leave the US the night before and arrive in Paris early the following morning.
• Dinners - Each tour member will be responsible for all dinners and most wine or alcohol drinks. 
• Any fees related to non ParisByParis Tour itinerary venues. 

• Major sights such as the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe and other monuments can be seen at anytime during the tour or might be sights you wish to see on your own time as wait times for entrance can be somewhat long.
