HELPFUL INFORMATION

It is best advised to travel as lightly as possible.  French vehicles, elevators and hotel rooms are substantially smaller than most Americans are familiar with so you will want to keep this  in mind.

Since the tours go on during different seasons I will include with the itinerary information regarding expected temperatures and expected rainfall.  Please wear and bring comfortable walking shoes, a light jacket or sweater for the spring and summer as well as an umbrella or raincoat.

Don't worry that you don't speak French as most Parisiens speak quite a bit of English and are happy to do so with you.  Learn to say Good Morning/Bonjour and Madame and Monsieur and this will go a long way toward good communication.  I will be with you for the most part and will be available to speak on your behalf whenever necessary.

Don't worry about being lost or confused about the metro or bus system.  Paris has an extremely easy public transportation system and I have many years of experience using it.  You will enjoy traveling around the city like a true Parisien!

Of course the food in Paris is fabulous, fresh and mostly organic.  The city water is clean and safe to drink.  There is a wide variety of things to chose from in most cafes and restaurants so do not worry that you will not be able to find something that is familiar or that you like.

Just email me with any questions you may have and I will be happy to answer them and help you start planning your trip of a lifetime!
