About Me
About Your Guide
My family has a rich French history dating back to the time of Charlemagne which has been documented in a book entitled "The Bondurants of Genolhoc, France". From this comes my passion for the Capitol of the beautiful and rich country of France. I am an avid reader of French history, in particular that of Paris, and this wealth of information makes your tour come alive with relevancy, interest and a deeper understanding of what you are experiencing.
My home, my heart and my passion is this enchanting city and it is my honor to be able to share it with you.
My tours are uniquely based on the history of Paris which is always paramount and presented in such a way as to enhance everything you see and experience. There are hidden treasures on virtually each and every street and this is what you will experience when you see Paris through my eyes. Even the most well known and popular monuments will take on a new meaning when accompanied with stories and accounts pertaining to their place in the past and present.
MERCI BEAUCOUP PARIS!!
Dear Paris,
I am writing you in an attempt to put into words my November Paris experience and to thank you for sharing it with me. I had never left the country before so while excited I still had apprehensions of what to expect. You were very thorough in preparing me with information of currency, accommodations, meals and culture. The moment we landed I continued to feel at ease as you navigated us to our hotel. The location in the Opera District was perfect and the room absolutely charming. We left the luggage and were off to begin our adventure! I must say that it is hard to describe the feelings I was having as you shared your Paris with me. Buildings that had seen wars and victories thru history. Masterpieces of art that I had only viewed on the pages of books. Cafes that ranged from elegant to casual with delicious meals within each. The excitement in your expressions and voice were contagious. I was instantly smitten with your Paris. As we strolled from sight to sight you spoke of the history of this city that had triumphed thru so much for so long. I began to understand the people and why they would proudly call this their home and why you had chosen to call it your home. As we chatted and walked on that first day we rounded a bend in the sidewalk and you presented me with it's most intimate treasure. I broke into tears and we hugged as I saw the Eiffel Tower for the first time. It is a moment in my life I will never forget and cannot thank you enough for sharing with me. A week later we left Paris already planning our return. I feel like this experience has changed me in many ways. Mentally, creatively and emotionally it reawakened something in me that daily life had hidden. My eyes have been opened to a fabulous city named Paris and I have also gained a wonderful guide who is named after the city she treasures so much.

Our trip to Paris was not only in one of the most romantic cities
we have ever visited, but also the most worry free. Paris Tannish
took care of all of our needs such as mundane things like hotel and
restaurant reservations, tours and transportation, giving us more time
to enjoy the things we like to do.
Whether spending the day visiting historical sights, shopping at the
flea markets outside the city or just spending an afternoon having a
picnic near the Eiffel Tower, we enjoyed every moment.
Few words can describe our last night in Paris having dinner at one of
the restaurants on top of the Eiffel Tower … it was one of the highlights
of all of our travels.
We thank you Paris for everything you did for us and we look forward to
another visit to the City of Light in the near future.

I had the opportunity to speak at a wonderful and fun soiree on Ile St. Louis in the Fall of 2005 when I began my tours. We can attend these interesting fun events when you are here as well. The culture and society in Paris is welcoming and and friendly and the chance to bring new people into your life is just around every corner. You will be enchanted!

Our special guest will be: Paris Tannish Author and Historian
Paris Tannish is launching her new Intimate and Historical Tours of Paris. Living in Paris, she is continually inspired by the city, her history and people. The quality of Parisian life, born from a rich history, present still today, is something that she longs to share through her tours. Her tours will be a true pleasure, free from the stress so often associated with visiting a new and foreign locale.
Paris is going to present differently themed tours throughout the year as well as day tours. Each tour will enhance a different part of the city, a different era and will include the sights and experiences unique to that time. The tours will be focused on history and the rich romance of Paris, beginning with the first tour, 19th Century Paris/the Belle Epoque: centered around the lifestyle, arts and architecture of the beautiful Opera Garnier and the arrondissements surrounding it. Prior to each trip, participants will receive the history of what they will visit during the tour so that when they arrive, they will be able to more thoroughly participate in and enjoy the experience. Each person will go away feeling that he, for a time, knew what it felt like to be Parisian at that time and to have known Paris intimately.
